Do Lash Techs Need a Website? What to Include

Yes, even a solo lash tech needs one simple website: a page with your services, your prices, and a booking link that works from a phone.

Updated October 8, 2026

Yes, even a solo lash tech needs one simple website: a page with your services, your prices, and a booking link that works from a phone. That is what turns a search or a referral into a filled chair instead of a missed DM.

You do not need a ten-page site with a blog and a photo gallery to get there. Most of what follows is about the smallest version that does the job.

Is Instagram enough, or do you need a separate website?

Instagram does the job of getting your work in front of people. It does not do the job of answering their next question. When someone lands on your profile after seeing a set they like, they are looking for three things: what it costs, whether you have room for them this week, and how to book. A bio link to a single page can answer all three without a single typed message.

The DM thread is where this breaks down at volume. "Any openings this week?" is easy to answer once. It gets expensive to answer forty times in the same week, especially mid-set, when your hands are not free to type at all. Say a solo artist misses four of those messages a week because she cannot get to her phone between clients: that is close to two hundred messages a year that sat long enough for someone else to book first.

So the honest answer is that Instagram is the storefront, not the whole shop. It needs a door that leads somewhere.

What pages does a lash tech's website actually need (and which ones don't matter)?

One page, not a multi-page site, covers almost every solo or mobile lash tech. It needs:

  • Your service menu with prices, including fills and add-ons, not just full sets
  • Your service area, or that you travel, if you are mobile
  • A booking link that opens a real calendar, not a "DM to book" note
  • A way to reach you directly, for the one question a form will not catch
  • A few real photos of your own work, not stock images

What does not matter yet: a blog, a multi-page navigation menu, a testimonials page separate from your reviews, or a long "about me" story sitting above the booking button. Those earn their place later, once there is a real reason for them.

How do you make sure people can book without a 20-message DM thread?

The page only does its job if the booking link actually books. A link that says "message me to schedule" is not a booking link; it is a slower DM. The link needs to show real open times, hold the slot once someone picks one, and send a confirmation, without you relaying any of it by hand. Whether that link runs through a dedicated scheduler or a booking platform you already use, those three things, real times, a held slot, a confirmation, are what make it count, not an afterthought.

Does having a website help you show up in Google and AI search answers?

It helps more than most lash techs expect, for a specific reason: people trust it more than a Google listing. In a BrightLocal survey of US consumers, 56% said they expect a local business's own website, not its Google listing, to carry the most accurate information (Search Engine Journal, 2019).

The same survey found that 22% of consumers check a business's website every single time before deciding (Search Engine Journal, 2019). Another 76% said they do it at least half the time (Search Engine Journal, 2019).

A website also gives search engines and AI answers something to point to. A Google listing can show your hours and reviews, but it cannot show your full price list or answer whether you also do brow lamination. A page can, and a page is what gets quoted when someone asks an AI tool to find a lash tech nearby.

What does a simple lash tech website cost to set up and keep running?

Less than most lash techs assume. A single page does not need a web designer or a monthly fee that rivals your booth rent.

Squarespace (Basic)$19-25/monthA fuller site with a gallery, a blog, or multiple service pages

The honest tradeoff: the cheaper options get you a page, but you still have to connect the booking button to wherever you actually take appointments. A page that is already wired to your calendar, the way LashBooked's booking funnels are, skips that step, since the button and the calendar are the same system.

What goes on the homepage if you're solo, mobile, or just starting out?

Keep it to what a stranger needs in the first ten seconds:

  • Your name or studio name, and that you do lash and brow work
  • Your service area, or "mobile, serving the greater [your city] area"
  • Starting prices for your most-asked services, even as a "starting at"
  • A booking button above the fold, not buried at the bottom of the page
  • Two or three real photos of sets you are proud of

That is the whole homepage. Everything past that list is optional until your book is full enough to need more.

Before you build it

A one-page site with real prices and a working booking link beats a polished multi-page one that still ends in a DM. Start with the smallest version that answers price, availability, and booking, then add to it once there is a real reason.

If building and connecting that page sounds like one more thing on a full plate, see how LashBooked's booking pages work: the page, the calendar, and the DM replies all run on the same system, so there is nothing separate left to wire together.

Never miss a booking mid-set again.

LashBooked answers your phone and your DMs 24/7 — quoting your prices and booking your calendar automatically.
